We’re looking for copy editor with a rigorous attention to detail, excellent editing skills and a broad range of writing experience to ensure we deliver top-notch content for our range of national and international clients.
We’re a digital marketing agency based in Hertfordshire founded by professional magazine and online editors and journalists, with big ambitions and a growing roster of well-known brands. We create content ranging from blogs and website pages to social media posts and guides for major brands across sectors such as lifestyle, travel and business services.
You will be responsible for writing, editing and proofing content to ensure it is accurate, highly relevant for its audience, and adheres to client brand guidelines and house styles. The content we create is often read by hundreds of thousands of people a month, and this role will form a key part of our editorially driven agency processes.
You will be working as part of our in-house content and SEO teams, writing and editing copy, creating briefs for writers and graphics designers, and helping ensure content is delivered on time, on brand and to a very high standard.
We pride ourselves on producing high-quality copy for a range of clients. You’ll need to be flexible – equally capable of knocking copy into shape for a wine brand one day and pensions provider the next. You’ll be a stickler for facts and accuracy.

Key responsibilities
- Create and edit effective digital content for websites for both B2B and B2C audiences, with high frequency and an excellent attention to detail.
- Write, compile and edit content to strict client brand guidelines and to a very high standard.
- Ensure content for clients in regulated industries is well-researched and rigorously supported with trustworthy external references.
- Fact-check content, statistics, sources and quotes to ensure a high degree of accuracy.
- Ensure content meets tone of voice requirements, ensuring it is engaging, relevant and authentic for different audiences – from business professionals to online shoppers.
- Make client amends to content, manage content through an editorial workflow and upload final content to websites as required.
- Assist the Web development and SEO teams in migrating website content.
- Provide support and guidance to in-house and external writers to ensure continuous improvement to content quality.
- Create writing briefs for in-house writers and external contributors.
- Ability and willingness to write original content as required to a client brief.
- Flexible, professional integration of AI and LLM models as part of a human-first content workflow.
Requirements
- Degree in English/History/Media/Journalism or a similar subject.
- Minimum 5 years professional work as an editor and writer.
- Flawless grasp of written English and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent research skills, able to translate data and information into engaging, accessible content.
- Flexibility – able to edit copy across different styles and for different audiences.
- Good knowledge of AI tools such as ChatGPT and Gemini.
- Understanding of SEO and its role in creating effective online content.
- Excellent communicator – positive, engaging and able to clearly articulate complex processes clearly and without ambiguity.

This is a full-time, permanent role working 3 days a week in our offices in Old Hatfield, Hertfordshire – just 20 minutes from London Kings Cross by train – and remaining days working from home.
